Learning Blender
Throughout this first term I have been slowly teaching myself the basic’s of Blender, it has been pretty slow progress but I have enjoyed it so far – mostly. I have been thinking that if I am unable to film everything I need it could be a interesting alternative to animate some sections – something in the style of Lawrence Lek’s work (https://vimeo.com/lek). I am still a long way off being at a level where this is an option, but this week I have made my first few animated renders. I rendered them at fairly low settings to get them done relatively quickly so the quality is fairly terrible, I also still cannot get my head around adding textures, and the lighting needs lots of work, but it is starting to go somewhere.
