An Update on the GoFundMe
A week into the GoFundMe campaign and I’ve been blown away by the support, I was expecting significantly smaller amounts of money to be donated, but so far the average donation have been around £20-£30. I’ve ordered the first batch of rewards and have booked my flights and AirBnB already! I was expecting it to take much longer till I was able to do any of this. I have also decided that the best way to use the money will be to put it into a separate account and have it as a backup fund – so for the time being I have paid for the flights and accommodation myself, so that if this first trip back to JHQ doesn’t go to plan I can then use the money raised to book a second trip around about the Easter time.
Looking for Archive Footage
To prepare for this week’s pitch, deck, and pre-title tease I have realised that I am going to need to start gathering some archive footage that I can begin to experiment with. I have already been playing around with some of the home footage I have found from JHQ, but am beginning to realise that this will be an essential part of the film – so ideally I will need to get my hands on some more footage. There is quite a decent selection of clips uploaded to YouTube which I may look into getting permission to use, but I also will see if my family have any more archive material I can use.
